Don't be an armchair non voter
John Mothersole, chief executive of Sheffield Council, has urged people not to be “armchair non voters”. He says it takes one minute to mark an X and it’s “dead easy”.
In Sheffield and Barnsley there are local elections on Thursday, May 3.

In the video, Mr Mothersole says: “We are 100 years from when women started to get the vote so I can’t think of a better way of celebrating and honouring that than by turning out to vote.
“Voting is a right and a responsibility. We all have opinions on how things should be done - don’t be an armchair voter.”
