The unique family evenings can be pre-booked every Friday and Saturday in August, plus Sunday August 30 on the Bank Holiday Weekend with late night opening until 9pm, live background music and special ‘round the world’ cuisine around the park.

“We are delighted to introduce our new after-hours Sunset Safari evenings which are an incredible experience with a beautiful backdrop,” said John Minion, CEO of the award-winning park at Branton.

“Lots of our animals tend to be active in the evening and will definitely love having some more visitors to show off to before bedtime.”

The Sunset Safari offers an exclusive opportunity to stroll round the park’s 150 acres in the cool evening and see some of the world’s rarest and most at risk animals, such as Amur tigers, polar bears, leopards and giraffes.

The Safari Café will be serving new specials including British cheese and meat plates with wines, and guests can enjoy everything from burritos and mojitos for a Mexican flavour at the Caramba Gardens. Meanwhile, there are traditional pizzas available at the Masai Pizzeria, where the outdoor seating has views of the giraffes.

There are additional Covid-19 safety precautions in place around the site which means tickets must be pre-booked.
