The Victorian gardens will be back in business on Saturday – but the Hall will remain closed and tickets must be booked in advance.Following the closure of all staffed sites in March as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, English Heritage is gradually bringing back its properties.

The spectacularly restored Victorian gardens are among the very first of English Heritage’s staffed properties to re-open and a warm welcome awaits visitors, who can once again explore the grounds, a spokesman said.

New measures have been introduced by the charity to ensure the health and wellbeing of members, visitors, volunteers and staff, and those who visit over the weekend can expect their day out to be a little different with social distancing in place.

A spokesman said: “However with its vast open spaces, Brodsworth is the perfect place to safely enjoy exploring award winning Victorian gardens spanning 15 acres and including the newly replanted Rose Garden. English Heritage’s friendly, professional staff and volunteers will be on hand to help – albeit from a safe distance.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, visitor numbers will be limited so all those planning to visit – including Members - will have to book in advance on the English Heritage website and arrive during their time slot. Only those with pre-booked tickets will be permitted entry, although once on site, visitors are welcome to stay as long as they like.
