The veteran showbiz performer, 68, wowed judges on the hit ITV show last night - receiving four yes votes to progress in the competition which has a spot at the Royal Variety Performance for the winner.

The comedy pianist from Barnby Dun left Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden open mouthed as he performed his trademark routine of playing the piano standing on his head which he has honed in pubs and clubs and on cruise ships for the last fifty years.

His name has been shortened to simply Colin Henry on the show.

After flirting with Amanda, he revealed it had always been his ambition to appear at the Royal Command Performance and after his act, quipped: "I'll have to stop doing that - it hurts my fingers."

Now bookies have installed him as a rank outside to triumph in the annual TV talent contest after the third round of auditions.

Bookmakers Boyle Sports have priced Colin at 100-1 to win the show - the bottom end of the list of contenders.

Young singer Beau Dermott is favourite to win at 4-1.
