Doncaster Rovers: Tyler Garratt to train with another club

Tyler Garratt will today begin training with an unnamed club ahead of a potential move away from Doncaster Rovers.

The defender was transfer-listed at the end of last season, a decision which was upheld by new boss Grant McCann who positioned the 21-year-old behind Danny Andrew and Danny Amos in the race for a left back slot.

Garratt will train with his potential new employers and is set to take part in a friendly on Saturday.

And McCann is confident the former Bolton Wanderers full back will secure a move over the next few days.

"Tyler is going to go - I don't want to say which club it is because it's not for me to say - on Thursday and train a couple of days," McCann said.

"And then he's going to play in a game on Saturday.

"If it comes off for him, which I think it will because Tyler was good again for us at Deeping on Wednesday and deserves to be playing in League One.

"It is just unfortunate for him that he's got Danny Andrew and Danny Amos who are just ahead of him at the minute.

"It's going to be difficult for him.

"But hopefully this comes off for him and he'll be going there the early part of next week."

Garratt has made 28 appearances for Rovers since joining from Bolton two years ago.
