Rovers boss Darren Ferguson has confirmed that he would like the duo to go out on loan, but dismissed speculation suggesting that N’Guessan was currently training with National League side Grimsby Town.

“Dany’s had a problem with his toe,” said Ferguson.

“He’s now had two consultations and two different opinions on what we do with it.

“He’s also had an injection which didn’t work.

“The first indication was that we might have to operate on it, which would have meant he’s out for the season.

“The second is now we’re going to give it a bit of rest for a couple of weeks. I don’t think we’ll go down the operation route.

“He’ll not be ready for a couple of weeks but we need to get him back so he can go out on loan somewhere.”

On former Middlesbrough forward Main, Ferguson said: “Curtis trained with the fitness coach on Monday and Tuesday, and trained with us [the first team squad] on Thursday and Friday.

“If he comes through that, we’ll look to get him out on loan as well. So we’re still trying to get one or two out.”

n Rovers fans were put on the spot yesterday as part of the club’s innovative season ticket scheme.

Supporters who have bought their season tickets for next season took penalties against the club’s senior goalkeepers for the chance to win £50 worth of Club Doncaster vouchers.
