A run of eight games without a win has seen Rovers drop like a stone to 19th in League One, two points above the drop zone.

This Saturday victory is imperative at home to a Shrewsbury Town side with the same number of points.

“It’s a simple case of getting enough wins, staying in the league and starting again,” said Ferguson.

“That’s it. Simple.

“I’ve told the players whatever it takes I’m going to have to drag them over the line and then the building starts then.”

He added: “I’ve got to stay positive, which I am. I still clearly think we’ve got enough wins in us.

“It’s a position I didn’t feel we’d be in, especially when you look at us a couple of months ago. But there’s no point in kidding anyone. We haven’t won since January 2 - that’s a fact. We need to do something about it.”
