Doncaster Rovers: Butler injury '˜nothing serious'

Andy Butler has moved to assure Rovers supporters he is okay following worrying scenes at the end of Saturday's FA Cup defeat at Oldham Athletic.

Andy Butler was carried off with a neck brace after the game had finished.

Butler dropped to the floor at the final whistle and was stretchered off wearing a neck brace with boss Darren Ferguson revealing he was in a lot of pain after suffered a knock to his spine.

But Butler wrote on Twitter on Saturday night to suggest the injury was not too severe.

He said: “Hi everyone, I’m ok, little tender but nothing serious, was taken on stretcher as a precaution, I’ll be alright #drfc #madeofstrongstuff.”
