“A positive decision made to ensure that we continue the good work we do off the pitch and to keep constant and transparent, the communications between The Board, the Club and the supporters.

“Andy brings a multitude of skills and traits to the roll including the fact he is a Rovers fan and has lived in the town for 45 of his 47 years. He is incredibly passionate about the Football Club and the Club Doncaster Sports College and Foundation and will continue the work he does with both, to instill civic pride into the town whilst looking to engage new fans to the club.

“We are all confident that Andy can help drive forward the Fan Engagement strategy we have in place, something we are all proud of and are becoming famous for amongst our peers.

“We are confident that this appointment will bring added value to what we as a Board can offer, and will ensure that we reach out to you all more frequently than has previously been possible in our time here, a real positive step by us all.

“We would like you all to join us in welcoming Andy into his new role, and we look forward to working closer with you all.”
