Two goals from Kirsty Hanson and Jess Sigsworth plus efforts from Rebecca Rayner and captain Leandra Little rounded off a perfect afternoon for the hosts, while Villa remain pointless after four games.

The outgoing manager’s team wasted no time in giving her the perfect send off, Hanson curling home a beauty from outside the box with just five minutes on the clock.

Less than ten minutes later and it was 2-0 from almost the exact same spot. After Christie Murray was felled, Rayner stepped up and curled her effort into the far corner, leaving Sian Rogers motionless.

Jess Sigsworth had a chance to make it three before the break, but she was denied by Rogers when through on goal.

The third did come as quickly in the second half as the first had come at the start of the game, Little heading home Murray’s corner just five minutes after the break.

Hanson capped a fine individual performance with her second goal shortly before the hour mark, the forward running down the left wing and firing a low effort in off the far post.

Despite a lull in proceedings for the final half an hour, Belles snatched another in the final minute when Sigsworth was played through on goal by Murray, slotting past Rogers, before she smashed home a sixth into the top corner with the final kick of the match.
