Doncaster Phoenix celebrate winning North One East after their victory over Guisborough.

A resounding 50-17 win at home to Guisborough on Saturday sealed the North One East title and back-to-back promotions for the ambitious Castle Park club.

Next season Phoenix will play in the National Three North - three tiers beneath Doncaster Knights - against clubs such as Sheffield, Hull and Wirral.

Right winger Lee Wallace ran in a hat trick of tries in what turned out to be a procession against Guisborough.

Will Burden (2), full-back Dan Porter, No 8 Ryan Peacey and left winger Josh Fowler also got their names on the trysheet, while experienced fly-half Jamie Lennard converted five of the eight tries.

Phoenix, who won Yorkshire One last season, are 18 points clear of runners-up Morley with two games to play. Morley will have to beat the second-placed club in North One West if they are to gain promotion.
