Doncaster man banned from school, hospital and wearing mask in public set to go on trial

Richard Stephen Vallance was also told not to wear face paint in public as part of the bail conditions after an incident at Danum Academy on Friday.

Vallance has been accused of disorderly behaviour towards pupils and appeared before Doncaster magistrates this morning to make his plea on the allegations.

The 35-year-old, of Argyll Avenue, Intake, pleaded not guilty to the offence alleged to have taken place at the school on Armthorpe Road.

He also pleaded not guilty to two other allegations.

They were counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards two females on Armthorpe Road on the same date.

In addition to the conditions regarding masks and face paint, Vallance was also ordered by magistrates in Doncaster not to go to Danum Academy, Intake, and not to go to Doncaster Royal Infirmary unless he has a prearranged appointment.

He was also ordered not to contact the alleged victims as part of the conditions of his bail.

Vallance was warned by the presiding magistrate at the hearing: “If you breach these bail conditions you may be committing a further offence.”

He spoke only to confirm his personal details and to enter his not guilty pleas to the three public order offences at the 15-minute hearing at Doncaster Magistrates Court.

The case was adjourned and Vallance was granted conditional bail.

The trial is set to take place on September 5 at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court.
