Doncaster Library re-opens this week - but users won't be able to browse for books

Doncaster Central Library will re-open its doors this week – but users won’t be allowed into the building to browse for books.

The library in Waterdale will re-open on Friday – but for returns and book collections only.

Library users wanting to take out books will instead have to use the new Doncaster Council Order and Collect service.

Book collection will only be from Central Library in town for the moment and details of the new service can be found HERE

There will be no access to the building for browsing and no PC access.

The Central Library will be open on reduced hours which are:

Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays, 10am - 2pmSaturdays, 10am - 1pm

Branch and community libraries are still closed and will open on a phased basis.

Doncaster’s new library, on the former Doncaster Girls High School site on Chequer Road is due to open later this year.
