Then read on - because Bessacarr Football Club could be the first step on the road to those dreams.

The grassroots football club, based in Cantley Park, is one of Doncaster's biggest junior football clubs with dozens of boys and girls playing competitive and fun football on a weekly basis throughout the season.

Established in 1981, the club currently has 16 teams - ranging from Under 7 to Under 16 - taking on other young sides from across the town in the Doncaster and District Junior Sunday Football League.

The club is an FA Charter Standard Community club - this is the highest possible award that can be given to junior football clubs, one of only a handful in Doncaster.

Bessacarr FC, which is based in a state of the art pavilion in Cantley Park, can currently boast 200 registered players and while the majority are boys, there are also a good number of girls playing for the club.

Girls are eligible to play alongside boys up to U16 level.

And there's space for the very youngest soccer tots too.

Bessacarr hosts mini kicks sessions between 10.30 and 11.30am on Saturday mornings at Cantley Park, which are open to 4-6 year olds, reception and year one pupils.

The sessions are currently free - but from January, the sessions will be moving indoors and to cover the cost, each fun kickabout, packed with games and coaching, will cost 50p.

Again, the sessions are open to both boys and girls.

The club also has an open age team (adults) which plays in the Doncaster Alliance League

All of Bessacarr's managers, coaches and officials are volunteers. All coaches are members of the FA Licensed Coaches Club, which requires them to have a minimum of a Level 1 FA coaching qualification and to regularly (on a 3 year cycle) renew their CRC and FA First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.

The club is currently looking for local businesses who may be interested in the sponsorship opportunities available. A typical team sponsorship would be in the region of £400-£500 for two years. This buys a full team's kit which is then worn for two seasons. Robin Hood Airport recently agreed to sponsor the U12 Reds team - with the club receiving the kit at the airport.

As a sponsor your logo would be placed on the front of the shirt. Your logo would also be added to the teams page on the Bessacarr FC website, which has just been redesigned and launched this month. The website can be found at www.bessacarrfc.org.uk.

The club is also very active in promoting teams and their successes through social media including; Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The club's main fundraiser is the Annual Football Tournament held at Cantley Park, over a weekend in June. This typically sees approximately 110 teams from not only Doncaster but across Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire attending. The club sells approximately 3,000 programmes over the weekend with sponsorship in the publication ranging from between £25-£50.

Other possible sponsorship opportunities are the whole club, the whole tournament, club jackets for the children, training kit for the children, the Bessacarr FC website or even the U15s Annual European Tour.
