Doncaster Demons women's rugby team gets new sponsor

A women's rugby team trying to dispel the myth that the sport is just for men has the backing of a new sponsor.

The Doncaster Demons rugby union team has won the support of Twenty Four IT Services, which already sponsors the Doncaster Knights professional men’s team, with both teams playing out of Castle Park.

Doncaster Demons was founded in 2004 and is currently on a recruitment drive to get more women involved in the sport.

Tony Houlihan, managing director of Twenty Four IT Services, said: “We are extremely proud to support such a determined and valuable set of players in the growth of rugby for all, regardless of who you are or where you’re from, boy or girl, there is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of something memorable.
