The following crimes were reported to Doncaster police on July 21. Anyone with information should call 101.

Scawthorpe: Burglars entered a house in Petersgate through an insecure ground floor window while the occupants were asleep between 9.30pm on Sunday and 7.30am yesterday. They took a computer, mobile phone, a games console and games worth a total of £1,000. Police have urged homeowners to close downstairs windows at night.

Bennetthorpe: Intruders enetered a house in Firbeck Road through an insecure window in the early hours of yesterday and stole a computer, phone and keys.

Bentley: An insecure conservatory door enabled burglars to get into a house in Churchfield Close yesterday teatime and steal a handbag containing a Kindle, £100 cash, and a mobile phone.

Town centre: The door of a car parked outside Sandbeck House, St James Street, was forced by thieves who took a satnav and CD player.

Askern: The door of a car parked outside the library on Station Road was forced yesterday afternoon and took £10 in cash.

Skellow: A CD player was stolen from an insecure vehicle parked in Crossfield Lane on Saturday night.

Cusworth: A young woman who had been sitting on a bench near the lake at Cusworth Hall walked off without her handbag yesterday afternoon and when she realised and returned it had gone. The bag contained house keys, a purse, £10 cash and cosmetics.

Bentley: Thieves have dug up 36 newly planted saplings on a new develepment at Arthur Street between July 10-21.
