Doncaster Crime round-up, April 10: Thieves target cars on one street, £500 fuel raid

The following crimes were reported to police on April 9 and April 10. Please contact South Yorkshire Police by dialing 101 if you have any information.

Hatfield: A television and a handbag were stolen when burglars broke into a conservatory at a house on Station Road. The television and the bag were later found hidden further down the street, but money was missing from the purse. The raiders got into the house by breaking a lock between 10.30am on Tuesday and 7am on Wednesday.

Rossington: Copper piping was stolen from a St Leger Homes house on Radburn Road between 8pm on Monday and 8pm on Tuesday. The house was unoccupied.

Cantley: Thieves got into a house on Plumpton Park Road through an unsecured window, and stole cash from the property. It happened between 12noon and 5pm on Wednesday.

Hatfield: Power tools were stolen from a garage outside a house on Mill Hill Road on Tuesday night between 10pm on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8am. A power saw, drill and grinder were taken by the burglars.

Bentley: Thieves stole a bicycle from outside a shop on Bentley Road. The bike had been locked, but the chain was cut between 8am and 12noon.

Adwick le Street: Thieves stole cash from unlocked cars on Kestrel Drive on Wednesday night. £5 was taken from a blue BMW and £20 was taken from a silver Honda Civic. Police believe thieves had been trying doors on cars on the street.

Carcroft: Jump leads and phone accessories were stolen by thieves who broke in through a rear quarter light on a Mercedes Sprinter van at Owston Hall, on Owston Lane, on Wednesday night.

Kirk Sandall: A sat-nav was stolen from a black Volkswagen car on Wednesday night between midnight and 7am on Wednesday. There was no damage to the car.

Marr: Around £500 worth of fuel was stolen from a lorry as its driver took a rest on the A635 Barnsley Road. It happened between 10pm on Tuesday night and 5.30am on Wednesday morning.

Bawtry: A tablet computer was stolen from an unlocked Land Rover between Tuesday 7pm and Wednesday 7am. It had been parked at Harewood Drive.
