A new drop-in service will be launched in Doncaster later this month to further promote safe sex.

A condom clinic run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Trust’s (RDaSH) Sexual Health Team will run monthly at East Laith Gate House, East Laith Gate, in Doncaster town centre – and the first one will take place on Thursday, April 24 between 2pm and 4pm.

This new service is aimed at anyone over the age of 16.

It means that people can collect condoms without having a consultation in the clinic. Condoms are available free at all other times within clinic opening hours.

Trudy Weir, of the Sexual Health Team, said: “The condom service is to help promote safe sex and to protect Doncaster residents from sexually transmitted infections.”

The team is also running an Easter competition on Facebook to promote the service and can be found by searching Doncaster Cash.

The Contraception and Sexual Health Clinic is open Monday to Thursday between 8.30am and 7pm, on Fridays between 8.30am and 4pm and on Saturdays between 10am to 3.30pm. Alternatively they can be contacted by ringing 01302 640043.
