Doncaster concert to raise cash for new charity

A Doncaster carer is bringing his own chamber choir to sing in a town centre concert to raise funds to help launch a new dementia charity.

David Evans, whose father has dementia and is cared for by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust, will conduct his Manchester-based choir Cantibus in a special concert at Priory Place Methodist Church, off Printing Office Street, on Saturday, February 6.

All proceeds will go to the fledgling charity Music for Memories, which aims to use the power of music to provide therapy to people living with dementia, as well as providing respite for families and carers.
