The shoot comes ahead of Diakiese taking on the Finn Teemu Packalen as part of the undercard to Jimi Manuwa's light-heavyweight battle with Corey Anderson at UFC London on March 18.

The 23-year-old stars as the 'GT Fitty' in Gay Times' March edition.

Diakiese said that his inclusion in the magazine as a heterosexual man reflects a society that embraces differing sexual identities.

"I like the idea that as people, we are all one. There's a lot of people who are single-minded. We're all the same, really, and as long as I get on with you and you get on with me, I'm fine. There's no difference."

The Armthorpe fighter, originally from Congo, arrived in Doncaster in 2005.

He began training at Doncaster Martial Arts Centre in Wheatley six years ago, working under owner Neil White and initially learning the Brazilian art jiu-jitsu.

Lightweight Diakiese, who is unbeaten in his bouts so far, now splits his time training in Manchester and Hemsworth where he trains alongside fellow UFC fighter Scott Askham.
