The group have just released their debut album this month and performing at Wembley Stadium earlier in the summer.

A spokesman said: “This week Bang Bang Romeo will play a humble village hall helping their neighbours and townsfolk.

“The band have hired their local village community centre and arranged to put on a full day’s benefit concert in aid of the flood victims of South Yorkshire and the band's hometown Doncaster.

“They are outraged more is not being done for the region and want to raise awareness and funds to repair the damage down to their town.”

The concert, entitled Flood Help, will see the group and other local musicians perform to raise proceeds for cleaning products, clothes, food and funds for the South Yorkshire Flood benefit.

The band will also be running an auction of memorabilia plus a host of other fundraising incentives which they have been working on ever since their concert at Meadowhall a few weeks ago was cancelled due to the start of the flooding that has devastated the region.

Apart from the money that will be raised, the band also hope that this benefit concert will encourage many further organisations, bands and businesses to follow suit with further ideas to get stuck in now when it's so desperately needed.
