Domestic violence blitz
FRIENDS, neighbours, relatives and colleagues of suspected victims of domestic abuse are being urged to call Crimestoppers with their fears.
Nationally, domestic violence accounts for around 15 per cent of all violent crime and affects one in four women and one in six men at some point in their lives.
But it is believed many attacks go unreported and victims suffer violence 35 times before they ring the police.
Now police in North Nottinghamshire want people with suspicions to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
