HEARING dogs will be taken to a Sheffield opticians to raise awareness of the charity which has trained dogs for the last 31 years.
The dogs will be taken to Specsavers on Pinstone Street on Saturday to draw attention to the Hearing Dogs charity and in the hope of raising cash.
Since the charity was set up in 1982, it has paired 1,600 hearing dogs with people with hearing impairment.
Paul McGinty, of Sheffield Specsavers, said: “Our team here is incredibly excited about celebrating another year of supporting Hearing Dogs.
“The charity’s forthcoming visit to the store is a fantastic opportunity for the general public to see these dogs and appreciate the huge difference they make to the lives of the deaf and the partially deaf in our community.”
