Doggone it! Join Tim and Fred in charity walk

DONCASTER vet Tim Aldren is appealing for dog owners to join him in a charity dog walk to help raise funds for the local Bawtry branch of the RSPCA.

Tim, who has his own private practice as well as carrying out work for the RSPCA, is hoping to help fund a new small animal accommodation unit at the centre.

Tim, his pet dog Fred and a team of other volunteers will walk the 8.5 miles from Evolution Vets, based at White Lane, Thorne, through Stainforth and Fishlake, before returning to the walk’s starting point.

The walk will take place on September 9 starting at 11am.

Fred was an abandoned puppy with the RSPCA and the walk is his owner’s way of saying thank you for all the good work done at the centre.

“We have had lots of support already but we want as many people as possible to join us,” said Tim.

“The animal accommodation unit would make a huge difference to the centre.”

Each walker is asked to raise in excess of 50.

The walk isn’t Tim’s first venture into fundraising - he organised a Three Peaks Challenge, raising 12,000 for a new ambulance for the RSPCA Centre.

Anyone who would like to get involved in the walk or sponsor Tim directly should call Evolution Veterinary Practice on 01405 812142.
