Do it online and have chance to win iPad mini

A major campaign to encourage more people to use North Lincolnshire Council’s website has got underway. There’s the chance to win an iPad mini and attend free internet taster sessions.

The council has made its website easier to use with a more responsive design and improved search function. It has also improved its self-serve function to make it easier to report and pay for services.

And it has improved access from a smart phone, tablet or other mobile device – following a 50 per cent growth in mobile visits to the council’s website last year.

“There is so much you can do online at www.northlincs.gov.uk. It saves time, is cheap, and more convenient. You can access it in the comfort of your own home or on the move from your smart phone, tablet or other mobile device – making it more convenient.

“To help get people started, we are providing free weekly internet taster sessions during February and March, for residents who want to learn how to use the internet. This is a joint initiative with North Lincolnshire Homes. We have a number of volunteers to help run the sessions, but urgently need more. If you are interested, please get in touch.

“Also from the end of February, our superfast broadband roadshow will be touring local communities across North Lincolnshire to explain the project to residents. Around 90 per cent of residents and businesses will have much faster internet speeds by June 2015.”
