Do the Great North Run
In 2014, I pounded the 13.1 miles between Newcastle and South Shields with 56,000 people, caught up in a sea of excitement and emotion.
It was a fantastic experience which I will remember for the rest of my life.

I joined the Heart Research UK team because I support the work to fund local community projects that support people to protect their hearts by living a healthier lifestyle.
Heart Research UK joined the huge crowds that cheered us around the streets.
They also gave me tremendous support throughout the months and weeks running up to the event, offering training and nutrition advice, as well as fundraising tips and ideas.
This is why I urge you to join the Heart Research UK team.
