The show, which features performances of Diva classics from artists such as Billie Holiday, Diana Ross, Etta James and, more recently, Lada Gaga, will open at the Lamproom Theatre in Barnsley on March 11, as part of local celebrations for International Womens Day.

The LS Theatre Production is being led by London-based singer Dixie Daye, who began her career fronting an underground band, Taste of Josephine, before signing to American independent label, Jam Brothers Music, in 2012.

Show Director Lee Semley said: “Dixie is a deeply passionate artist, a stand out vocalist and in every sense of the word a true show woman. She has a massive voice and I can’t think of anyone better to lead our cast of local talent.”

Dixie said: “I feel so honoured and excited to be performing in LS productions’ show; it’s packed with timeless numbers and it all about girl power and celebrating the greatest female voices of all time. I can’t wait to step on stage with a immensely talented all female cast. It’s very empowering.”
