The University of Sheffield is opening up its laboratories for a fun family night to explore everything from astronomy to zoology, from the chemistry of foods to the magic of magnetism.

Now in its fifth year, Discovery Night returns to the University on Friday, March 10.

The event will include science demonstrations, hands-on activities and talks based on research in science, engineering and medicine.

Everyone is welcome to the free event, which is on from 4pm-8pm in Firth Court and in the Alfred Denny Building, both on Western Bank,

No booking is required. The event is recommended for ages five plus.
