SHEFFIELD Royal Society for the Blind’s ‘Dine for Sight’ charity lunch is being attended by Brightside and Hillsborough MP David Blunkett.

The event will be an opportunity for guests to imagine being visually impaired, when the lights are dimmed for part of the meal.

Partially-sighted guests will also be able to share their stories of living with blindness.

Mr Blunkett said: “Sharing experiences offers an opportunity to understand the challenges faced and to appreciate the practical support.

“As the Paralympics have demonstrated, men and women with sight loss can live their lives as contributing members of society.”

The ‘Dine for Sight’ lunch is at Kenwood Hall on Thursday, October 11, to coincide with World Sight Day. For tickets, call 0114 272 2757.
