Gleeson Regeneration has submitted plans to develop an area of green space off Cradock Road and Spring Lane in Arbourthorne.

The site is a mixture of grassland and hard standing, bordered by housing and the Sheffield Personalised Learning Centre.

The firm says there are ‘informal’ footpaths through the site but the condition of the green space is not considered to be ‘high quality’.

The planning application says: “Gleeson focuses solely in building low cost homes for people on low incomes in areas of industrial decline and social and economic deprivation.

“The company builds a range of affordable homes for sale to people who would otherwise be unable to afford a new home, thereby helping them on to the property ladder.”
