Detectives investigating a knife-point robbery in Eckington have released a CCTV image of a group of potential witnesses.

A 40-year-old man was threatened by two men, armed with a knife, who demanded his wallet in Fir Road before running off in the direction of Elm Road.

One of the suspects was over 6ft tall and was wearing a dark sweater, grey tracksuit bottoms and gloves.

The other was about 5ft 5ins tall and was wearing similar clothing and gloves.

Both men had their faces covered.

A Derbyshire Police spokesman said: "We’d particularly like to hear from two males and a female who were outside the nearby Premier shop that evening.

"They are seen on CCTV near a bus shelter and although the image isn’t particularly clear, we hope the people pictured will recognise themselves and come forward."

The robbery happened at about 9.30pm on Wednesday, March 8.

Anyone with information should call Detective Constable Julian Hall on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
