A South Yorkshire police inspector has revealed his officers were called out to more than 30 incidents in just a few hours last night in the immediate aftermath of England's win.
Shortly after midnight, Rotherham local policing team inspector, Abdul Aziz, said the incidents took place in just two and a half hours and almost all were drink related.
Earlier, Inspector Aziz said they had been called out to four bar fights since 8.30pm, adding that the 'demon drink was out in full force'.
England won two-nil against Sweden in the quarter final game, booking their semi-final spot against Croatia on Wednesday.
However, the victory was marred by pockets of violence across the country, like in London where an Ikea store and an ambulance were trashed by celebrating fans.
