Residents and staff at a Sheffield care home visited Sheffield University to see the fifth dementia creative arts exhibition – which featured some of the residents’ own pieces.
The theme of the exhibition was friendship, with the pieces including everything from paintings to creative writing and poems.
Residents from the HC-One Alexander Court care home, on Lydgate Court, Crookes, participated in workshops for the event, which is designed to enable people with dementia and their families to share their experience of living with the illness.
Kathleen Winstanley, care home manger, said: “It was particularly special for the residents who had their work displayed.
“We’re really proud of them.”
