Death crash victim named

A MAN who died in a collision between a bus and a car in Sheffield has been named as Mohammad Anwar.

The 33-year-old, of Broom Valley Road, Broom, Rotherham, was driving a white Nissan Micra along the A6135 Chapeltown Road, Ecclesfield, when he was involved in a crash with a double-decker bus travelling in the opposite direction on Friday, December 16.

Police said the vehicles were about 50 metres from the Ecclesfield side of the junction with Crakehall Road when the Micra crossed the carriageway into path of the bus

Mr Anwar driver died at the scene.

An inquest into the death has been opened and adjourned pending further enquiries.
