Dearne Valley College opens restaurant to train aspiring chefs

A new restaurant has opened - run by tutors and staff at Dearne Valley College.

The Griffin Grill, based at the Onyx Retail Park in Wath-upon-Dearne, is fully-licensed and can seat up to 37 diners.

It is being used to train aspiring chefs and those wanting to work inthe hospitality industry.

Principal and Chief Executive at Dearne Valley College, Martin Har rison said: “We are delighted to be able to launch this brand new restaurant for the local resident and business communities to enjoy wonderfully-cooked food whilst supporting the young talent of South Yorkshire, with a state-of-the-art training facility to add to the college’s existing provision. We look forward to welcoming everyone.”
