An investigation has been launched after the corpse of a dead dog was found at a property in Sheffield.

The RSPCA has confirmed it is investigating the grim discovery on Cammel Road, Firth Park.

Police also attended the address at around 3pm on Thursday afternoon, but they are not currently investigating.

A spokesman for the RSPCA said: “We did attend an incident but, as this is currently an active investigation into the welfare of dogs kept at the location, we cannot make any further comment at this stage.”
