Davies, who also won the U23 title, ended the first day in second place after finishing second in each of the four events – 100m (11.06 seconds), long jump (12.76m), high jump (1.88m) and 400m (49.61 seconds).

But he had dropped down to fourth on day two, following the 110m hurdles, discus, pole vault and javelin going into the last event.

Doncaster Athletic Club’s Caroline Wheelhouse, 163rd overall in a time of 1 hour 29.36 seconds, won the women’s vet-55 race in the North Lincs Half-Marathon.

Vet-55 Lee Spink (1.23.09) was the first Doncaster AC runner to finish.

Askern’s vet-45 Pete Burke was 62nd in 1.23.22 with Dave Tune (Doncaster Triathlon Club) coming home in 76th place.
