They were the best friends who conspired to create a legacy and change the world; one a popular wine merchant in 19th century Sheffield who loved cricket, and the other a solicitor of a silver-plate company who later became a Knight.
Their names were William Prest and Sir Nathaniel Creswick, and their gift to us - and to the world - was football.
