FIRE crews spent six hours battling a blaze behind a DIY store off Claywheels Lane, Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield.

Officers were concerned the fire, which started in the open late on Friday, would spread to a number of gas cylinders behind the building.

Firefighters were called to deal with a shed found alight on Toppham Drove, Lowedges, Sheffield. The cause of the blaze was accidental.

In Newfield Green a shed was broken into overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday on Newfield Farm Close.

Two rubbish bins found alight on neighbouring streets in Sheffield had been deliberately set alight, on Fife Street and Fife Way, Wincobank, in the early hours of yesterday.
