'Cyclists don't contribute anything in the way of upkeep of the roads or pavements'

It would appear to me that not a lot of thought has gone into the idea of putting double yellow lines on Clarkhouse Road.

Have the people behind this idea actually done a head count as to how many cyclists use this road a day?

I bet not.

Also Botanical Gardens is a very popular venue even without any events taking place.

I was fortunate enough as a child to live at the back of them and spent many hours playing in the woods.

Cyclists don’t contribute anything in the way of upkeep of the roads or pavements, so why should we meet their ludicrous demands? Many other people will suffer if this decision goes ahead.

More thought is needed.
