Cyclists will be able to take advantage of two new bridleway routes on the National Trust owned Longshaw Estate.

The scheme is part of a plan to create a better connected network across the ‘Sheffield Moors’ that will increase the number and quality of routes available to cyclists and horse riders.

Longshaw is holding a ‘Bring your Bike to Longshaw day’ tomorrow with activities such as led mountain bike rides, an introduction to off-road riding and basic bike maintenance sessions.

John Horscroft, of Ride Sheffield, added: “Longshaw’s new permissive bridleways are great news and will allow mountain bikers to pass through the estate for the very first time and enjoy its beautiful landscape.”
