A CYCLIST suffered broken bones and needs plastic surgery after a collision.

The 32-year-old Sheffield man was cycling along Chesterfield Road towards the junction with Little London Road, Heeley, when he was overtaken by a blue Mini Cooper which then pulled in front of the cyclist to try to turn into Little London Road.

But a police spokeswoman said the cyclist ended up colliding with one of the Mini’s rear wheels.

Witnesses should call police on 101.
