PEOPLE wanting to give biking to work a try are being offered free advice sessions to help them stay safe when out on the roads.
Cycling co-operative Pedal Ready is offering the classes thanks to funding from both Sheffield and Rotherham councils.
Ken Woodhouse, for Pedal Ready, said: “It’s great that more and more people are taking to two wheels inspired by the Olympics.
“But to make sure they enjoy their cycling, we think every new Sheffield and Rotherham cyclist should book on to a free cycling commuter skills session.
“We’ve worked with more than 1,500 adults so far in South Yorkshire and everyone we skill up says they feel more confident in traffic afterwards.”
