BIKE riders are gearing up for a pedalling challenge taking place this Saturday.

The Hope Valley Mountain Bike Challenge on Saturday, September 15, offers participants two off-road routes around the scenic valley.

The first is 28 miles and the second 14 miles.

Hope Valley College Parents, Teachers and Friends Association has organised the ride, which this year has a mass start.

Refreshments will be provided and all of the money raised during the event goes to Hope Valley College, the Edale and Kinder Mountain Rescue Teams and other local charities.

It costs £20 per rider to enter or £25 to register on the day.
