A GROUP of 48 young people are to being helped from school into the world of work through the ‘most significant education project’ in the recent history of Sheffield’s Cutlers’ Company.

During the next two years students, who have undergone a selection process to be appointed Cutlers’ Ambassadors, will work together with business representatives on the Cutlers’ Curriculum scheme.

Successful completion of the programme, through which they will learn work-related skills, will earn every student a ‘Passport to Employment’ certificate and job interview.

The new Ambassadors are being presented with specially-created badges to mark their selection by the Master Cutler, Pam Liversidge, as they start the programme.
