A Sheffield city centre nightclub has closed its doors - but it won't be staying empty for long.
VIBE Sheffield has reported that OMG on West Street has closed its doors but an 'American Rode' themed diner will be taking its place.
OMG describes itself as one of the UK's 'busiest and biggest gay venues, with clubs in Bristol, Liverpool, Plymouth and Swansea.
However, the Sheffield venue has been taken off the website's list of clubs and it has been listed as 'permanently closed' on Google.
Their website states: "OMG are the UK’s busiest and biggest gay venues, with state-of-the-art sound & lighting systems, buzzing atmosphere and great pricing."
However, it seems a new restaurant, called Broncos Rodeo, could soon be taking the place of the former nightclub.
The planned site for the new bar and restaurant is the former OMG bar, according to VIBE, and work appears to be going on inside the building.
The advert, for a Head Chef, reads: "We are searching for an experienced Head Chef / Kitchen Manager with proven skills to take charge of a new soon-to-be opening American styled kitchen.
"We are a soon to be opening a bar/restaurant in the centre of Sheffield with a strong American Rodeo theme!
"We are creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere for our guests to enjoy great food in during the day, and late night entertainment in during the evenings.
"We aim to cater for a wide range of clientele from families to large party bookings. We already have several successful brands and are looking make this our newest in Sheffield!"
Customers were quick to pay tribute to the West Street club.
Thomas Reaney posted on Twitter: "I know they say one door closes another opens, but sheesh... Bye, bye OMG #Sheffield!"
The Star has contacted OMG for a response.
