Currie shows he's hot stuff with late leveller

Jake Currie's stunning 84th minute equaliser earned Hallam another valuable point in their quest for a play-off place in a 1-1 draw against promotion rivals Shirebrook Town at Sandygate Road.

Shirebrook had taken a 42nd minute when from one of many long throw’s launched into the box the ball was flicked on for for Alex Varley to bundled home at the far post.

However, with time running out a moment of individual magic saw Hallam grab what could be a vital point in the final play-off shake up. Substitute Micah Bishop latched onto a long ball out of defence before cutting inside to hit a powerful shot that was blocked looping up in the air where Currie sent with a moment of sheer brilliance sent a overhead kick into the far corner for one of the goals of the season.
