Cub investiture is really cool

Have your say

ADVENTUROUS youngsters are being given a unique welcome into the cub movement this weekend - on ice.

More than 140 children are to be ‘invested’ - making a pledge and getting their uniform - into the 38th Rotherham South Anston Scout Group on Saturday.

And for the first time - possibly ever - the ceremony will take place at iceSheffield on Coleridge Road, Attercliffe, at midnight before the youngsters take part in a fun sleepover.

Group scout leader Marie Wroe said: “We think this is the first time this has been done and it’s just somewhere a bit different to do the ceremony.”
