Crush victim’s city funeral

friends and relatives of a Sheffield man crushed to death at work attended his funeral yesterday.

Michael Dwyer, aged 48, of Gleadless, was killed when a metal casting fell onto him as he worked at RS Bruce Metals and Machinery in Attercliffe on Monday, March 4.

His son Jordan, with whom Mr Dwyer was working, witnessed the horrific scenes.

The funeral for Mr Dwyer, a father-of-three-and grandfather-of-two, was held at St Theresa’s Church.

An investigation into the death is under way.
