A TRAM hit a car in Sheffield in a rush-hour crash.
The tram - on the city’s purple route which runs between Herdings Park and Cathedral - and a vehicle were in a low-speed collision on Park Grange Road, at the junction to Arbourthorne Road, Arbourthorne, at about 9am.
Self-employed gardener Jon Davis, of Bowden Wood Crescent, Sheffield, who passed the scene, said: “The tram just shunted the car, but there didn’t seem to be much damage.”
A Supertram spokesman said there were no reported injuries in the collision and only ‘minor’ delays to services.
She said: “Safety is our absolute priority and we will we now carry out an investigation into this incident.”
